As materials for my work I use textile, found objects, organic substances and my own body. The material is a starting point for a process, in which the objects are woven into a layered mass of yarn, color, and texture. The process creates things, forms and shapes, that occupy space, and make space. I see myself as a part of a tradition, a historic process of weaving and undoing: women’s work, and a female craft, as it has been traditionally seen as.
In my works I aim to create something meaningful and remarkable from the commonplace and inconspicuous.
