Clinton King and Julie Curtiss presented their first joint exhibition titled "split end" at Youkobo in 2007. The show explored their time living as expatriates in Tokyo and examined the nature of relationships and the dynamics of personal transformation. After a 12 years hiatus, they are back for a two-month-long residency at Youkobo, presenting a series of works created onsite. This new show reflects on the growth of their art practice both individually and in Tandem. They are both taking part in the 2019 Youkobo Returnee Residency Program, implemented for Youkobo's 30th anniversary.
