I am also a resident of Suginami, but I take my hat off to the breadth and strength of Mr. Murata’s involvement with the area. Starting with Youkobo, he is also active as director of Suginami NPO Support Center. Utilising his previous experience in Japanese industry, he and his partner are enjoying a ‘second life’, benefitting others in the arts and the wider community.
Whenever I drop by on an unexpected visit with some guest or other, I always return home inspired. I want to give my heartfelt applause to the life of the Muratas.
