In cooperation with the artist-in-residence (AIR) opportunity in Japan for the winner of the young artist support program “ERTIBIL BIZKAIA” of the Spanish Basque government, this program for Basque Artists began in 2018 in collaboration with Youkobo Art Space (Tokyo) and Joshibi University of Art and Design, Tokyo as a part of the Y-AIR (AIR (AIR) activities. 

In 2019, one artist each carry out a two-month residency program in July and July at Youkobo AIR and Koganecho AIR (Yokohama).

Y-AIR [ AIR for Young ] . A program realized through collaboration between AIR and art universities offering young artists opportunities and experiences of carrying out creative activities on an artist residence program, contributing to their development as artists, as members of society, and as ordinary citizens. Through cooperation between individual AIR and art universities, it aims to grow into a program for international exchange through the construction of a sustainable framework. Y-AIR of Youkobo Art Space has been practicing since 2013 with the aim of creating an environment in which students and graduates of Art Universities can easily access AIR. We are conducting activities to explore various possibilities in collaboration with AIR for artists to perform their own creative activities and Art University for artist training and research. In addition to collaborations between Youkobo Art Space and Joshibi University of Art and Design, practical activities are spreading as collaborations between AIR and Art Universities at home and abroad. https://microresidence.net/publications/
