The art unit "YAMANEMU," consisting of artist Emu Nagasaka and photographer Tomoko Yamane, will exhibit a collection of works and records of their production based on the theme of "cycles" linking iron, humans, and nature, spanning the seasons of fall 2020 and winter 2021, focusing on the beech forest in the Hakkouda area of Towada, Aomori Prefecture. The exhibition will feature a collection of works and a record of the artist's production, based on her repeated observations and photography of nature, mainly in the beech forests of the Hakkoda region of Towada City, Aomori Prefecture.

Abnormal weather is said to be largely caused by the destruction of forests and other natural resources. We would like to keep a close watch on what kind of "signs" the nature observations and photographs of artworks in the beech forests, the water source that nurtures the rich ecosystem of the Hakkouda region, recorded by YAMANEMU will convey to us.
